Primary runoff election early voting next week

Federal and state elections will be on Stephens County primary runoff ballot which has early voting next week.

Early voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 18-22 at the Stephens County Courthouse at 200 West Walker St. in Breckenridge.  

Election day voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at five locations. 

Those election day locations will be the tower room of Clear Fork Bank at 101 E Walker St., the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church at 1601 W. Elliot St., the Stephens County Annex Building at 222 N Baylor Ave. and the bus barn of the Breckenridge ISD Support Center at 907 U.S. Hwy. 183 N.

The Republican runoff ballot will also include a runoff for U.S. Senator between incumbent John Cornyn and Ken Paxton, Attorney General between Mayes Middleton and Chip Roy, Railroad Commissioner between Bo French and Jim Wright and Court of Criminal Appeals Place 3 between Alison Fox and Thomas Smith.

On the Democratic ballot will be a runoff for Lieutenant Governor between Vikki Goodwin and Marcos Isaias Velez and Attorney General between Nathan Johnson and Joe Jaworski.

The last date to register to vote was Monday, April 27. The last day to apply to receive a ballot by mail is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 is carrier envelope is not postmarked, or at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 if the carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at the location of the election on election day.
