SCSO pull more drugs of the streets of SC

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office seized multiple illegal drugs and weapons before they could be distributed in Stephens County.

On Thursday, March 4, at approximately 8:19 p.m. a Stephens County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the east side of Breckenridge for defective equipment. The traffic stop transitioned into a drug investigation when the deputy identified indicators that illegal substances were possibly being transported in the vehicle.

Officers with the Breckenridge Police Department assisted in the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, 39.64 ounces of Marijuana, 2.2 Grams of Cocaine, 29.8 Grams of Methamphetamine, a stolen handgun, and an assault rifle were seized. Alexander Lara of Graham was arrested and booked into the Stephens County jail on multiple felony charges.
