Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, traffic accidents/hazards, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, and some types of proactive calls.

Nov. 19

• Two deputies responded to a report of stalking and harassment on S. Jackson Avenue. While enroute they observed the wanted suspect leaving the scene and initiated a traffic stop on E. Walker Street. The 21-year-old man was arrested on two warrants out of Eastland County for felony stalking and misdemeanor criminal trespass.

• A deputy issued a criminal trespass warning to 58-year-old man and a 37-year-old male for an address in the 900 block of E. Gaddis Street.

• A deputy transported two male inmates from our jail to a TDCJ drug rehabilitation prison

near San Angelo, TX.

Nov. 20

• A deputy served an arrest warrant on a female for assault causing injury. The arrest took place at the Stephens County Law Enforcement Center.

Nov. 21

• The Sheriff’s Office responded to a reckless vehicle on US Highway 183 North traveling towards

town. Upon contact with the vehicle just north of the city limits, the Sheriff’s Office issued two citations. The driver was cited for failure to maintain a single lane of traffic and the passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia (methamphetamine baggy and pipe).

Nov. 22

• We hope the community had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. The S.O. had a slow day

regarding calls for service, and we thank the people for that!
