Sheriff’s Weekly Summary

Calls for Service = 32

Inmates Currently Housed = 23

Civil Papers Served = 15

Calls for service include but are not limited to: 911 calls, non-emergency calls, registering sex offenders, working traffic accidents, serving civil papers, transporting prisoners and juveniles in and out of the county, mental hospital transports, court security, some proactive calls, etc.

Dec. 3

The Sheriff’s Office traveled to the Graham Police Department with several years of stored drugs related to past cases that had already been disposed of or adjudicated. Once at Graham PD, the drugs were burned in an incinerator, according to best practices.

Dec. 6

A deputy conducted a traffic stop due to the driver not having vehicle insurance and displaying an expired registration sticker. Due to multiple past warnings, citations and the driver being a known thief and methamphetamine abuser, the 39-yearold man was arrested for the above violations.

A deputy transported a mental health patient from our county to a behavioral health hospital in Abilene, Texas.

Multiple indictments were handed down by our local grand jury related to cases that the Sheriffs’ Office had investigated.

Dec. 7

A deputy arrested a 61-year-old mn in the 7900 block of FM 2231 for failing to properly stay registered as a sex offender.

Dec. 8

A deputy arrested a 30-year-old woman for a warrant post-indictment related to the charge of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. This occurred in the 200 block of W. 2nd Street.

The Sheriff’s Office issued a criminal trespass warning to a 39-year-old man for an address on CR 244.

Dec. 9

A deputy arrested a 77-year-old man in the 1200 block of W. Dyer Street for a felony warrant of indecency with a child sexual contact.
