Tickets on sale for Sips of Summer

A change is coming to one of the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce’s annual events.

This year’s Sips of Summer Wine Tasting event, which will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, will feature a presentation about wine history and wine making. The event will return to Chandelier Ridge, located at 5740 Hwy. 183 in Breckenridge.

“Our instructor has conducted more than 350 of these classes and he knows how to help you understand wine vocabulary, teach you about winemaking, and wine history, and tickle you with wine trivia, all while you get to sample 12 different wines from all around the world,” an email from the chamber stated. “And yes, he will educate you on each of the wines (what to look for in the aromas, which varietals are present, the wine region where the grapes were grown, vintage, etc.) as you taste!”

The tasting will also offer palette cleansers and various cheeses.

After the tasting, participants will have the opportunity to order their favorite bottles.

There are only 150 tickets available for this event, and it is only open to adults 21 years and older. Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office, located at 100 East Elm St. in Breckenridge.
