Members from the Cossacks and Scimitars motorcycle clubs kicked off the 75th annual Toys for Tots fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Breckenridge VFW. Collectively, they raised over $450 in monetary donations, five books, and seventy toys for children.

Numerous families in Stephens County and surrounding areas rely on donations in order to provide gifts for their children during the holiday season. Former Marine Staff Sergeant Doug Beaty has overseen Toys for Tots locally since 1988 and works alongside local businesses and private donors in order to provide gifts for children in need.

Donations can be made at the VFW, Walmart, Gebo’s, Dollar General, W5 Pharmacy, Wallace Insurance, Ernie’s Spanish Kitchen, First National Bank, Tractor Supply Company, Canyon Road Barn and Grill, Breckenridge Pizza Company, Ol-Timer’s Cafe, Little Caesars Express, 4-H Ag Extension Office and Farmers Insurance.

Donations will be picked up by Beaty as necessary, and will be accepted until Friday, Dec. 23.
