TSTC awards five scholarships at luncheon

The Breckenridge campus of the Texas State Technical College hosted a scholarship luncheon for five recipients.

Presiding over the luncheon and the presentations was Debbie Karl, executive director of the Breckenridge campus of TSTC. TSTC staff had prepared the room and luncheon festivities under the direction of Debi Bufkin and other TSTC staff.

The five recipients are as followed:

• Ruth Annette Yoes, who was awarded the Chemical Dependency Counseling Reach Club Scholarship, presented by Lance Eastman, who is vice president of student learning and instructional support for all four West Texas campuses of TSTC.

• Megan Gann, who the Burl McKelvain scholarship. Gain is enrolled in the LVN program. McKelvain was on hand to present the scholarship given in his name.

• Nicole Richardson from the Garden Club. Richardson is enrolled in the environmental program. Linda Lippe presented the award. The Garden Club is no longer operating but they had raised funds for one more scholarship.

• Michelle Renee Atkinson, who was awarded the O.H. Reach Scholarship. Atkinson is enrolled in the LVN program. Rick Denbow, who is the Provost for all West Texas campuses of TSTC, presented it.

• Bryan Griffith, who won a scholarship from the Stephens Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Griffith is enrolled in the LVN program. Sandy Broyles and Winnie Barclay were present to represent that organization.
