United fund reaches 86 percent

The Breckenridge United Fund continues to march towards their goal of $17,000. As of Friday, Jan. 19, the United Fund board announced they have raised $14,748, which is 86 percent of their goal.

Since the last update of the Jan. 16 edition of the Breckenridge American, the following individuals have been added to the donor list and include A.R. Jr. and Pat Knight, City employees, Stacy Harrison, Andy McQuistion and Jay Walker.

Additionally, Scott and Linda Harris made a memorial donation in memory of Mitchel and Terry Sullivan. T.C. Harris also made a memorial donation in memory of Mitchel and Terry Sullivan.

The United Fund Board officials said they appreciate all donations that have been made so far that will support the activities of many local organizations supporting youth, senior citizens and the community of Breckenridge.

All money donated stays in Stephens County. Those organizations supported by the United Fund include Meals-on-Wheels, Swenson Memorial Museum, local Boy Scout and Girl Scouts, The Open Door, Stephens County Welfare Board, SHAC, Dr. Goodall’s House, Stephens County Humane Society, Breckenridge Library, Friends of Historic Breckenridge, Stephens County Ag and Community Center, Girl’s Softball, Little Kickers soccer, All His Children, the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center and Breckenridge Little League.
