Veteran’s names to be added to the memorial

Local members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary, along with Stephens County residents, will pay their respects to those Stephens County Veterans who are deceased.

The ceremony is set for Monday, May 25 at 10 a.m. on the courthouse lawn located at 200 West Walker in Breckenridge.

County Judge Michael Roach is asking citizens to call his office at 254-559-2190 or County Veterans Service Officer 254-559-5720 to furnish names to be included on the list or confirm that their Veteran’s name is on the list and correctly spelled.

The names will be added to the monument for those Veterans that have passed in 2019. The VFW and Stephens County welcome any donations for this yearly program to honor the memory of Stephen’s County Veterans.
