Woodson Cook-off this weekend

Put on your best oven mitts and get to cookin’ for the County Line Clear Fork Cook Off. The event will be held this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and Aug. 6.

The cook off will also host the Keaton Wade Music Festival and there a great line up this year.

Friday’s musical line up begins at 5 p.m. and includes the Urban Pioneers, Jeff Martin, Randy Brown and Jordan Hendrix, Coalition (Larry Joe Taylor, Deryl Dodd and David Perez).

As if that’s not enough, Saturday, the music begins at 4 p.m. with Jamie Tollison, followed by Steve Helms and Ben McPherson, Tommy Alverson and Jamie Richards, and at 10 p.m., Brandon Rhyder.

General admission on Friday and Saturday is $25 and there is a $10 cooler charge. However, a two-day ticket may be purchased, with a two-day day cooler band, for a total of $55.

RV/Campsites may be purchased for $100 and include two admission bands and one cooler pass.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at the County Line, before Aug. 5. After that, tickets at the gate are increased by $5 each and only cash will be accepted.

The cost of registration for the cook off is $275 through Aug. 4; On Aug. 5, registration is on-site and is $300 and will be cash only.

Registration includes entries for ribs, brisket, beans, and chicken; it includes one RV/camp spot for Friday and Saturday; four entry wristbands are included, and one cooler band is included.

Add on entries can be made for jackpot entries, additional team members, additional cooler bands and additional campsites.
