DSHA stops weekly Covid-19 allocations, moves to orders

The Texas Department of State Health Services announced Thursday they will no longer allocate COVID-19 vaccines to providers on a weekly basis. The department will fill vaccine orders from providers as they are received or place orders with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on a daily basis.

Foster children honored in Stephens County

On Thursday, April 29, Judge Michael Roach and members of the Stephens County Child Welfare Board and a few friends gathered on the Stephens County Courthouse steps to hold a candlelight prayer to honor the 20 Foster Children who live with families in our county. No names of the children were given, but the gender, age and a brief description were read off a card and a candle raised in their honor. Judge Roach led the group in prayer and the ceremony concluded amidst a slight drizzle.

It was an invasion from the west as Lorna Ayers brought the Fort Griffin Fandangle Sampler for the Woman’s Forum program in April. This was exactly what it said, a Sampler, of what will come in the full production presented in the oldest Outdoor Theatre in the U.S. for audiences that come from throughout the United States, during the last two weeks of June.
