City of Breckenridge has another positive month in sales and use tax
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $762.5 million in local sales tax allocations for March, 0.5 percent less than in March 2020. These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.

My peach trees have the most beautiful blossoms. Yesterday, the bees were humming through them all, from blossom to blossom. They made an occasional trip to the apricot trees with their white blossoms and to the pears, which need to be planted. Hoping for fruit this summer. Buzz, little bees, buzz.
Langford presents BISD Board with check for $1,500
Ronnie Langford, Loan Officer at Graham Savings, presented a check for $1,500 to Superintendent Allen from the Buckaroo School Card Program, which earns five cents from every transaction by the Buckaroo Debit Card. Graham Savings donates five cents every time their customers used their Buckaroo Debit Card.
Bucks squash Albany Lions (11-1)
The Breckenridge Bucks squashed the Albany Lions with eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning after claiming two other runs in the third inning and then added one more run in the sixth inning to claim the win, (11-1).
Texas gas prices averaging $2.61/g
Texas gas prices have risen 9.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.61/g today, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Gas prices in Texas are 42.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 63.6 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
