A letter from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton answered questions regarding the eligibility of Sheriff Kevin Roach to be elected while his biological brother, County Judge Michael Roach, is a sitting judge.

At their recent commissioner’s meeting, the City Commissioners took the step to Certify the election of the two incumbent City Commissioners, who are running unopposed for Place 3 - David Wimberley and Place 4 - Tom Cyprian.

$3/gal national average could come soon as OPEC keeps production cuts

GasBuddy is warning motorists today that the national average may breach $3 per gallon by Memorial Day after OPEC’s meeting today closed with no meaningful increase in oil production. The group’s large cuts to oil production in 2020 will generally be extended, with just Russia and Kazakhstan granted small exemptions to raise oil production by 130,000 barrels a day and 20,000 barrels a day, respectively. In response, crude oil prices rose to fresh highs, with a barrel of West Texas Intermediate crude oil nearing $65 per barrel, the highest level since 2019.

After graduating high school Castro decided to further her dreams in nursing at the Texas State Technical College Nursing because of her experience of personally watching how nurses helped her injured sister recover and observing family members who were nurses.
