Beaty presents plaque to Walmart for 25 years of continued support

Doug Beaty, who has taken care of the Toys for Tots distribution during the past 31 years in Breckenridge, presented Walmart Manager, Diann Claussen, with a plaque for their continued support of the Toys for Tots program the past 25 years. Diane presented Doug with a grant check of $2,500. She also encouraged other agencies to apply for grants at Walmart. Claussen said, “She had additional grant money to give out. All people had to do was apply.” Beaty said, "The Toys for Tots boxes are all set up around the community and he will collect them as they are filled to distribute to needy children in Breckenridge in time for Christmas.”

I know that there are many others who have the same questions, so I want to use this month’s column to share a bit of information about the Texas House of Representatives.
