If 2020 were a car, we would have had it back to the dealer fifteen times. We would have had to change out the tires, had to put a new air filter in every week, and had to have the transmission rebuilt. Of course, we would not have bought the maintenance agreement or the extended warranty. We hoped to save money because we’d never had a bad car before. Why waste the money?

Gas prices see another drop
Texas gas prices have fallen 3.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.80/g today, according to Gas-Buddy’s daily survey of 13,114 stations. Gas prices in Texas are 6.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 45.0 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

United Fund nearly half way of goal
The United Fund kicked off the 2020-21 campaign on Oct. 1. As of Oct. 26, United Fund has reached 43 percent of their goal of $18,000 with donations totaling $8,869. The United Fund is slightly ahead of donations made this same time last year.
Stephens County confirms fifth death from COVID-19
Stephens County confirmed the death of a fifth individual from the COVID-19 virus. The additional death count occurred during the Thursday, October 29 daily update by Stephens Memorial Hospital.
