Stephens County has witnessed an increase in active cases of COVID-19. Hospitalizations have reached three citizens within the county, and as of Friday, October 23, Stephens County has 55 active cases of COVID-19. County officials are asking that citizens follow health and safety protocols and guidelines put forth by health officials.

Texas gas prices are unchanged in the past week, averaging $1.85/g today, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 13,114 stations. Gas prices in Texas are 1.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 42.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Software glitch fixed

There was a minor glitch in Stephens County’s poll pad software on Tuesday, October 13 due to a vendor error. The issue caused a 20-minute delay in the early voting process, but did not stop record numbers.
