As steps are taken towards improving emergency response, Stephens County will be looking into the prospect of building a larger emergency operations command center.
The decision for the county to look into this was approved Monday, July 14, by the Stephens County Commissioners Court after Stephens County Emergency Management Coordinator David Leonard approached them about the topic.

Just over two months since it was installed at the hospital, the Aspire Cristalle 3D mammography machine has received rave reviews from both staff and patients alike at the hospital.
Miller does mammograms one day a week and generally schedules about 15 or 16 each week. As of last week, the hospital’s radiology department has had over 100 patients come in for mammograms on the new machine.
