According to an announcement made Monday, the 2023 Breckenridge Buckaroo Relays has been canceled, due to several schools canceling their appearance at the meet. The event was originally scheduled for this Saturday, April 1.

County designates April as 911 Education Month

Stephens County Commissioners voted unanimously Monday, March 13 to proclaim April as 911 Education Month, following the request of the Texas Council of Governments (TCOG). The TCOG offers state and federal grants for local governments.

Planning for the future

Breckenridge City Manager Cynthia Northrop has been holding strategic meetings with residents and other community leaders, in an effort to come up with a cohesive plan for the city. The goals and objectives set forth by the strategic planning meetings will guide next year’s budget process and address the biggest priorities within the community.

Record-breaking run

Breckenridge High School track teams participated in its largest meet of the year last weekend at the 75th annual PK Relays in Graham. Chase Lehr broke a 55-year record in the 800-meter run, with a time of 1:55.71.
