Weaver named to Dean’s Honor Roll
Jeremy Weaver, of Breckenridge, joined 534 other students when he was named to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Dean’s Honor Roll for Fall 2022. To receive this recognition, a student must achieve a 3.5 – 3.849 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale.
Gas prices see another increase across state
Average gasoline prices in Texas have risen 7.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.90/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 13,114 stations in Texas. Prices in Texas are 31.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 0.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 7.2 cents in the last week and stands at $4.56 per gallon.
Junior livestock show closes another year
Stephens County held their its 65th annual Junior Livestock Show last week. The agricultural youth of the community showed their talent of raising livestock, with the best in each class winning awards and buckles.
Filing window opens for BISD board
The filing window to run for a place on the Breckenridge ISD school board opens next Wednesday, Jan. 18. The election is currently set for Saturday, May 6, with early voting running from Monday, April 24 through Tuesday, May 2.
Dabney Named to SPC President's List
Rylan Dabney of Breckenridge was named to the South Plains College Fall 2022 President's List. Dabney was among more than 340 students named to the Spring 2022 President's List.
