Emmitt Hindman Sr., 86, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Emmitt was born Nov. 21, 1930 in Potosi, to Eugene Hindman and Lillian Daughtry. He married Billie Faye Steel on Aug. 6, 1949 in Abilene. He was self-employed and worked in the oilfield.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Hindman of Breckenridge; daughters, Marsha Mitchell of Grand Prairie and Neesa Land of Benington, Okla.; son, Emmitt Carl Hindman Jr. of Breckenridge; sister, Wanda Shaw of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
