Breckenridge Fine Arts Center hosts camps

Wed, 07/26/2017 - 12:41 pm

Instructor Debbie Malone conducted two student art camps from July 11 through July 14.

The morning class was conducted from 10:30 a.m. to noon and was set for children 7 years old and above.

That class worked with mixed media to draw, paint and sculpt art of their own design. They worked with watercolors, pastels, chalk, glass and clay.

The morning students included Gabryel Moore, Mara Matheson, Aurrin Matheson, Leslee Abbott, Pretin Ezell, Providence Ezell and Taylor Champion.

The afternoon class was “Awesome Glass,” where the students were a bit older, 10 and above. They experimented with glass by learning to manipulate and cut fused glass into their very own art piece.  These students also learned etching and mosaics with glass. This class included Leslee Abbott, Providence Ezell and Taylor Champion.

“It was fun to see the excitement in their eyes as they learned new skills, especially in the afternoon class with the fused glass,” said instructor Debbie Malone.
