Beauchamp faces multiple child sexual assault charges

A 28-year-old Breckenridge man remains jailed on more than $300,000 bond following multiple charges related to child sexual assault.

Eric Beauchamp of Breckenridge is in Stephens County Jail on felony charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault, following an investigation by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office that began in late August.

According to court reports obtained by The Breckenridge American, the investigation began after SCSO Chief Deputy Kevin Roach interviewed a 16-year-old male. During the interview, the boy claimed he had been sexually abused by a man he later identified as Beauchamp, starting when the boy was 13 or 14 years old.
