Ruby Helen Stallings Jacobe

Ruby Jacobe went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday July 28, 2018. She died from heart failure at the age of 86. 

Ruby was born in Mayfield, Okla. April 22, 1932, to John and Beulah Stallings. She was the youngest of seven children. She received her Associate’s degree in Nursing in 1967 from Odessa College. Her nursing career took her to Monahans, then she became director of nurses at West Texas Children's Home in Pyote until her retirement in 1992. 

Jake and Ruby moved to San Angelo to be close to family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters and her husband of 61 years, Howard “Jake” Jacobe. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Renee and husband, Cloyd, and Patti and husband, Brian; six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. in Necessity Cemetery near Breckenridge.
