Betty Riley, 88, of Albany, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Church of Christ in Albany with Sonny McCauley officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14 at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Betty Jo Knight was born May 23, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to parents Claude Knight and Dollie Harrell Knight. She married Ben Jackson Riley on June 6, 1947 in Albany at the Methodist Church. Betty was a member of the church of Christ, loved playing dominoes on Fridays at the library and loved quilting. She had even won awards for her quilts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jackson Riley; parents, Claude and Dollie Knight; and one son, Ben Edward Riley.

Mrs. Riley is survived by three sons, Steve Riley and wife Ann of Albany, Stan Riley and the late Debbie Riley of Fort Worth, Joe Bryan Riley and wife Tina of Albany; one daughter, Jackie Snyder and the late Bob Snyder of Albany; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
