Billy Woods, 58, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18 in Necessity Cemetery with Rev. Rex Boggs officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel. Billy Eugene Woods was born March 8, 1960 in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents, Bobbie Gene Woods and Martha Lou Pilgrim Woods. On July 25, 1987, he married Mary Beth Cody in North Glenn, Colorado. Billy worked as a cedar hacker/logger for Hester’s Logging Company until he retired. He moved back to Breckenridge in 2017 from Crestview, Florida and was a member of Gunsight Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Woods and Martha Woods; one son, Joshuah Ryan Woods. Billy is survived by one daughter, Rochelle Marie Woods of Crestview, Florida; his former wife, Mary Beth Cody of Crestview, Florida; two sisters, Bobbie Woods Tinker of Possum Kingdom, Sandra Iles of Breckenridge; four brothers, Timothy Iles, Pete Woods, Rodger Iles, all of Breckenridge, Randy Woods of Abilene; two grandchildren; his niece, Sherra Moser and husband Buddy of Breckenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Solaris Hospice and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.
