Bobby Jerl Horry, 58, a resident of Throckmorton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at the Throckmorton Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home, at 107 N Austin in Throckmorton.

Bobby Jerl Horry was born March 2, 1963 in Los Angeles, to Modina (Ash) and Jerry Horry. Bobby grew up in Woodson, lived in Stephenville, and recently moved back to the Throckmorton area. He loved playing golf, gardening, cooking and fishing.

He is survived by his son, Bradley Horry and spouse Lorren, of Quanah; expected grandchild, Whitten Horry; fiancee, Terri Bibb Allen, of Graham; brother, J. Rob Horry and Angie Massey, of Austin; numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Modina and Jerry Horry; and daughter, Megan Horry.
