Brenda Ann Ledbetter passed from this life to the next on Friday, March 9, 2018 in Petrolia. Funeral service with Rick Earp officiating will be held Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m. in the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7 p.m. Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. 

Brenda Ann Chaney was born March 23, 1951 in Breckenridge, to Herman Ferrer Chaney and Anna Faye Grimes Chaney. She worked for the city of Breckenridge as a meter reader before her retirement. Brenda was Pentecostal.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Faulkner and husband, Kevin of Petrolia; sons, Glen Ledbetter and wife, Pam, Matthew Ledbetter, and Mark Campbell, all of Breckenridge; sister, Diana Campbell of Breckenridge; brother, James Chaney and wife, Betty of Clyde, uncle, Jesse Chaney and wife, Judy of Austin; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joseph “Joe” Ledbetter; and sisters, Doris Fay Hight, Carolyn Kay Folsom, Mary Elizabeth Chaney and Margie Patricia Bunch.
