Collin Reese, 87, of Saginaw, passed away Wednesday, June 16. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25 in the Breckenridge Cemetery, with Jack Morehart officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Collin Roy Reese was born October 24, 1933 in Spur, TX to parents James Chapple “Chap” Reese and Callie Mae Watson Reese. He graduated from Spur High School and then went to help his father farm and ranch. On October 31, 1951, Collin married Joyce Evelyn Smallwood in Spur. They made their home in Big Spring until moving to the lake in Breckenridge in 1984. He worked for TXU for many years and after retiring in 1988, he and his friend, Don Bennett, owned and operated B&R Marine for several years. He was a member of College Baptist Church in Big Spring, where he sang in the choir. Collin enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed summer visits from his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chap and Callie Reese; his wife, Joyce Reese; his sister, Gayle Bledsoe; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Darlene Cypert.

Collin is survived by his children, Debbie Reese and husband, Bart Neighbors, of Big Spring, Faron Reese and wife, Laurie, of Saginaw, Patricia Reese Cypert and husband, Darrell, of Garden City; six grandchildren, Stacey Welch and spouse, Scott, Britton Walling and spouse, Ellen, Ray Reese and spouse, Barbara, Randy Cypert, Melody Reese, Brandi Jones; twenty great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
