Cynthia H. Croker, age 69, died of respiratory failure on August 27, 2020 at Heritage House of Keller in Keller, Texas.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, in Olney, Texas at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Carpenter, pastor, officiating.

Cynthia was born on Oct. 13, 1950 in Olney to the late Wellman Harvey Hennig and Martha Lee (Johnson) Hennig. She would often smile as she recalled her happy childhood and the wonderful times she and her sister had on their grandparent’s farm. She attended Olney High School where she graduated in 1969. She married and had two daughters who were her greatest gifts and her very best friends. She was passionate about caring for others and later in life she graduated from nursing school and became an L.V.N.

Cynthia was a fiercely courageous woman who laughed often and was dedicated to her family. She cherished the ocean so much she packed up her belongings and moved to live near the beach in Florida for many years. She took cake decorating classes and sang Christian songs as she created beautiful masterpieces in her kitchen. She was fond of birds and had a treasured parakeet named “Pretty Boy” who she taught to talk. Being an avid animal lover, her favorite thing to do in her last months was to video call from her room just so she could see a beloved old English Bulldog named Oxford. She loved bright rainbow colors and was a devout Christian who longed for heaven where she could be in paradise with her loved ones.

Survivors include two daughters: Carmen Ozuna and fiancée, Tony Degler, of Wichita Falls; Cristen Briggs and fiancée, Phillip Young, of Wichita Falls; one sister: Sandra Robertson and husband, Jack (Rusty), of Breckenridge; one brother: Jerry Hennig and wife, Martha, of Schertz; three grandchildren: Tyler, Dylan and Layne Briggs of Archer City; nephews: Jack (Trey) Robertson III and wife, Leah, of Breckenridge; David Johnson and wife, Laura, of Luling; nieces: Cassandra (Cassie) Michelle Parker and husband, Matthew (Matt) Rowdy, of Breckenridge; Amber Bolen and husband, Mark, of Princeton; Kodi Noonkester of Euless; and several great nieces and nephews.
