Donna Strong, age 74 of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating. Interment followed in the Hart Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at Morehart Mortuary. Donna Kay Roberson was born April 15, 1951 in Young County to parents, Edward Harold Roberson and Wanda Joy Walker Roberson. She graduated high school and attended college. On Aug. 1, 1970, Donna married Richard Strong in Breckenridge. In 1982, the Strongs moved back to Breckenridge and Donna worked in childcare, running an in-home daycare. She later became a nail technician and worked at The Cottage for several years before she retired. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school and served as the daycare director. Donna was also a member of the Eastern Star. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sandra Shockley; one brother, Steven Roberson; and one grandson, Billy Duggan. Mrs. Strong is survived by her husband, Rick Strong of Breckenridge; three children, Christina Duggan and husband Curtis of Breckenridge, Karin Boggs and husband John, Jr. of Abilene, Boyce Strong and wife Kelsi of Corinth; one brother, Ken Roberson and wife Karen of Breckenridge; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two aunts, Wanda Roberson and Billie O’Neal; and several nieces and nephews.
