Doris Jean Harris Thompson passed from this life to glory on Nov. 3, 2020. David Wilson Thompson and Doris Jean Harris met in the Breckenridge Junior High study hall when she was in the eighth grade and he was in the ninth. They both graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1951 and 1952 before marrying at age 19 and having many happy years after that.

Doris was a military wife for 28 years as David Wilson served as a US Air Force pilot. The couple retired in their hometown of Breckenridge and were long time members of the First Presbyterian Church. They later relocated to San Angelo.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents CR and Carrie Lee Harris of Breckenridge, a brother Billy Floyd of San Angelo, and a brother Clyde Roy of Marble Falls.

Doris is survived by her husband, David Wilson and four daughters; Jeanie George (Bill) of Springfield, Missouri; Linda Thompson of San Angelo; Patti Alderson of San Angelo; and Cindy McClary (Henry) of Rotonda West, Florida; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will hold a private graveside ceremony at the Breckenridge Cemetery with the Reverend Andrew Channer officiating.
