Gary Langford, age 70 of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 15 at Morehart Mortuary with the Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment followed in the Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Gary Ellis Langford was born Aug. 9, 1949 in Breckenridge, Texas to parents, E.C. Langford and Sug Brown. He graduated from Sundown High School and attended South Plains College for two years. Gary served in the National Guard and after his discharge he went to the police academy in Abilene. He worked as a Deputy Marshall in Sundown and then as a police officer in Breckenridge. On Dec. 12, 1991, he married Beth Bivins in Breckenridge. Gary liked spending time at home, but also enjoyed hunting, working on guns, reading and watching westerns. He loved his cats and was a wonderful dad, grandfather, Pa and G-Pa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Susie Dendy, Bill and Lillie Brown and Ellis and Nanny Langford; his father, E.C. Langford; one brother, Billy Dendy; and one grandson, Charles Strickland III.

Gary is survived by his wife, Beth Langford of Breckenridge; his parents, Bill and Sug Dendy of Littlefield; his step-children, Jodessa of Fort Worth, Angie of San Antonio, Sherrie of Clyde; one sister, Pam Bownds and husband Casey of Littlefield; grandchildren, Marynzie, Chanel, Jacob, Jessika; nieces and nephews, Winter, Cameron, Michael, Nikki, Ashley, Kelly; great grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristopher, Adrian, Javin, Amber-Lynn, Dillion, Richie, Aubree, Charles IV, Ceaser, Cody, Watson; great niece, Karlina; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
