Carlene Cozart, age 82 of Ranger, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 at Gunsight Cemetery, with Rev. Ronnie Guess officiating. Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. Carlene was born May 24, 1940, in Eastland, to parents John and Violet Boles, of Gunsight. Carlene lived in Gunsight until she married Curtis L. Cozart on July 14, 1956, in Breckenridge. She attended school in Breckenridge. Carlene stayed active making a loving home and raising their four sons. She held a variety of jobs outside the home, but most enjoyed her role of Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and homemaker. Carlene was an avid reader. She was usually reading three to four books simultaneously. Carlene loved talking to people. She spent numerous hours keeping up with family and friends via phone calls and social media. She also loved all animals, especially her dogs Woodrow and Bitsy. She attended Gunsight Baptist Church.

Carlene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Curtis L. Cozart; her parents, John and Violet Boles; her only sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Craven Arnold and E.D. Arnold; and her precious fur babies.

Carlene is survived by four children, Randy Cozart and wife Judy of Wichita Falls, Rodney Cozart of Breckenridge, Rocky Cozart and wife Tammie of Cisco, and Tracy Cozart of Fort Worth; Carol Cozart of Palmer; eleven grandchildren, Curt Cozart, Christina Briles, Christopher Cozart, J.R. Cozart, Jacy Blair, Shelby Gibson, Amanda Phillips, McKinsey Cozart, Jason Hamm, Logan Hamm, Karlie Cozart; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
