Gerald Merrifield, 77, of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 15 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Don Bearden officiating.

Gerald B. Merrifield was born May 30, 1942 in Littlefield, Texas to parents, Clifford Earl Merrifield & Helen Jo Marriott Merrifield. He served in the United States Army from 1959 until he was honorably discharged in 1962. Gerald married Brenda Keesee on July 20, 1996 in Cooke County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Helen Merrifield; three sisters, Della R. Strength, Joyce Laudermilk, Ruby Pearl; two brothers, Joe E. Merrifield, Jimmy D. Merrifield.

Mr. Merrifield is survived by his wife, Brenda Merrifield, of Breckenridge; two sons, Gerald Merrifield & Shellie, of Rockport and Jimmy Ray Earl Merrifield, of Gainsville; one brother, Edmon R. Merrifield & wife Jeanine, of Possum Kingdom; two sisters, Gaitha L. Spaulding & husband Will, of San Antonio and Gaila L. Booth, of San Antonio; two granddaughters, Alyssa Paige Merrifield, of Austin and Alexis Merrifield, of Norman, Oklahoma.
