Grady Boggs, 54, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Austin, after a long battle with a rare genetic disease, Huntington's. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19 in the Hart Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Grady Allen Boggs was born April 8, 1964, to parents Caroll Boggs and Zona Blaylock in Breckenridge, Texas. He grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1982 with honors. During high school, Grady went to work for Greg Hamilton, who was a great friend and mentor, at a downtown Exxon station. He worked there until he joined the U.S. Army in 1984. He served in the Army and retired from the National Guard as a Sergeant 1st Class in 2004 with 20 years of service. 

Grady was preceded in death by his father, Caroll Boggs, mother, Zona Blaylock, one brother, James Boggs; his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Jewel Blaylock and paternal grandparents, Sam Ray Boggs and Albena Givens Boggs White.

He is survived by one brother, Raymond Boggs of Breckenridge; aunts, Shirley Mantooth of Abilene, Laverne and Bill Myers of Lake Leon; uncles Rex and Connie Boggs of Eastland, Lonnie Messenger of Abilene and Toby Blaylock of Marble Falls; his special military buddy, Mike Pope, who his family owes a debt of gratitude for being such a great friend and helping for so many years with business and medical issues when they could not. Grady has numerous cousins and friends.
