BRECKENRIDGE — Jay Thad Brown, 60, of Weatherford, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpersville Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27 at Morehart Mortuary of Breckenridge. 

Jay Thad Brown was born Nov. 24, 1958 in Breckenridge, Texas to Jack Lee Brown and Patsy Sue Brooks Brown. On Sept. 12, 2008, he married Patricia Lee Malone in Parker County. Jay spent most of his career working in the oilfield and was currently employed by Pilot Escort Services. He was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Zula Brown of Breckenridge, Ota Sarah Brooks, formerly of Breckenridge and Alta Brooks; two aunts, Monique Brown of Breckenridge, Marcella Rodgers; and one uncle, Dale Royce Brooks.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Brown of Weatherford; his parents, Jack Lee Brown of Breckenridge and Patsy Sue Head of Spring Branch; one daughter, Michelle Wisdom and husband Kirk of Weatherford; one sister, Tammy Sue Brown of Centennial, Colorado; three grandchildren, Maci Wisdom, Colt Wisdom, Case Wisdom, all of Weatherford; two aunts, Nancy Brown and Gail Mansheim, both of Lubbock; one uncle, Jerry Brown of Breckenridge, and numerous cousins and friends.
