Jerry Ann Catanach (Nee Geraldine Ann McNallen, AKA Jerry Ann Wells), wife of Francis Gilbert Catanach for 53 years, passed on at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe NM, on May 3, 2025, in the loving presence of her husband and daughter, five days shy of her 89th birthday. Jerry was born in Breckenridge on May 8, 1936, to Gerald James McNallen and Ethel Christine Shelton, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Michael McNallen.
Jerry is survived by her husband, Francis Gilbert Catanach of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and brother, Stephen McNallen (Shelia) of Grass Valley, California. Jerry is also survived by her children, Mark Wells (Ivone) of Fairfax, Virginia; daughter, Ann Utton of Logan, Utah; daughter, Kristi Catanach of Santa Fe, New Mexico; son, Francis Gerald Catanach (Irma) of El Paso; granddaughters, Toni Utton of Logan, Utah, Leslie Spikes of Emporia, Kansas, Elisabeth Bernadette Wells of Boston, Massachusetts, andEsperanza Catanach and Tomas Catanach of El Paso. Jerry is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
A rosary and viewing will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, June 2 at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505. An additional rosary and viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, followed by a Latin Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Herrera, at 10 a.m. at San Isidro (Little Church) 3552 Agua Fria St, Santa Fe, NM 87507. Burial services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Rosario Cemetery. A meal will follow from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at McGee Event Center, 1320 Luisa St in Santa Fe.
