Joanna Stoker, 84, passed from this life to the next on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Beaty Matthews Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. 

Joanna Stoker was born Nov. 20, 1934 in Breckenridge to George and Effie Martin. She married A.K. Stoker in Graham on April 12, 1952. She had worked numerous jobs locally in her lifetime, such as; Eckerds, Davis Manufacturing and Munsingwear. Joanna was also a lifelong member of First Christian Church in Breckenridge and a devoted wife and mother. 

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Bales and husband Lanny of Woodson, Audrey Ragland and husband Jeff of Nimrod, Debbie Smith and husband Dean of Ivan; sons, Joe Stoker and wife Pam of Breckenridge and Earl Stoker of Pyote, Texas; Sister-in-law, Clara Belle Martin of Wichita Falls; 11 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; W.H. Martin, George Martin, Jr.; daughter, Anna Lou Stoker; sisters, Vivian Vick and Lillian Conner; grandson, Jayton Rister; and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Caughran. The family has requested any memorials be made to Humane Society of Breckenridge and the Womans Forum; the memorials can be left at the funeral home.
