Karin Lynn (Adair) Everett, 73, of Throckmorton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 20. Visitation was held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Smith Family Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Throckmorton Cemetery with Jerry Blake officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home.

Lynn was born June 22, 1948, in Palo Pinto County, to Don P. Adair and Nellie Jo Warren. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1966. Upon graduating, she moved to Dallas and worked for Southwestern Bell for several years before returning to Breckenridge where she met the love of her life, Joe Mack Everett. They married Feb. 7, 1973, in Breckenridge and made their home in Throckmorton. She was a devoted and loving wife and they recently celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary.

In addition to being a loving wife, she was a dedicated homemaker, mother, Granny, and friend. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Throckmorton. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their camper and exploring new places. She also loved gardening, flowers, photography, drawing, reading her Bible, and going on Thelma and Louise adventures with her friend, Evelyn.

She is preceded in death by her father, Don P. Adair; mother, Nellie Jo (Warren) Clayton; step-father, Kirt Clayton; sister, Donna Jo Adair; and grandmother Hazel Warren.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Mack Everett of Throckmorton; daughter Jolie Ann Wright of Glen Rose, TX; daughter Laura Johnston and husband, Johnny of Throckmorton; daughter Hannah Jo Everett of Oklahoma City; step-son Kerry Joe Everett and wife Patricia of Throckmorton; step-daughter Kayla Viann Bass of Lindale, TX; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nephews and cousins.
