Rena Mae Shack, 83, of Moran, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Bethel Assembly with Jeff Pleasant officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.

Rena Mae Booth was born on Oct. 3, 1936, in Stephens County to parents, William John Booth and Ola Mae Beasley Booth. She attended schools in Breckenridge. On April 12, 1953, Rena married Billy Jack Shack in Ranger, Texas. She and her husband started Shack Well Service in 1964 in Albany. Several years later in 1984, Rena began ranching and started Shack Farms. She made ranching and working the land and cattle her pastime. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Shack; her parents, William & Ola Mae Booth; two sons, Rob Shack, Bill Shack, Jr.; one sister, Rosa Lee Plott; two brothers, Bobby Rector, Archie Booth; one granddaughter, Chelsey Shack.

Mrs. Shack is survived by her one daughter, Sherry Skinner and husband Robert of Moran; four grandchildren, Jacob Shack, Jacey Shack, Laken Robison, Amy Rippy; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
