Rogelio “Roger” Perez, 54, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Joe Nieto officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24 at Morehart Mortuary.

Rogelio “Roger” Perez was born on May 1, 1967 in Del Rio, Texas to parents, Armando Ramos Perez, Sr. and Sara Lopez Perez. After high school, he attended college and later joined the United State Marine Corps. He served for several years, serving in Desert Storm in Kuwait, before his honorable discharge. Roger was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and attended Cathedral of Hope in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Armando Perez, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Sara Perez of Breckenridge; five brothers, Armando Perez, Jr. and wife Liquita, Marcos Perez and wife Cynthia, Ricardo Perez, Gabriel Perez, and David Perez, all of Breckenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
