Sgt. Zachary Youngblood

BRECKENRIDGE — Sgt. Zachary Youngblood, 21, of Wichita Falls formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Lance Thomas and Dick Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in the Moon Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel.

Zachary Wayne Youngblood was born Nov. 8, 1996, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to parents Misty Goad and Robert Youngblood. He attended school in Moran until the eleventh grade when he transferred to Breckenridge. He enlisted in the National Guard in the eleventh grade on his seventeenth birthday. Zach graduated from Breckenridge High School in 2015. After graduation, he attended Blinn College. During his second semester, Zach was deployed and still took classes online while serving his country. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army, serving in eight countries in the Middle East during his deployment. Zach was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed working out and hunting with Curly. Most of all, he was a good daddy, his daughter was the pride and joy of his life. He loved playing and dancing with Bella and Anna. Zach was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Sam Martin; and his great grandmother, Rose Marie Goad.

Zach is survived by his daughter, Karsyn Isabelle “Bella” Youngblood; his fiancé, Anna Castro of Wichita Falls; parents, Misty and Michael Pugh of Breckenridge, Robert Youngblood of Leander; one sister, Harlee Youngblood and Cole Carey of Breckenridge; his grandparents, Ronnie Goad of Breckenridge, Cindy Goad of Big Spring, Monroe and Nancy Pugh of Breckenridge; his great grandparents, Leroy Goad of Canute, Oklahoma, Katherine Martin of Graham; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
