School board meets and announces students of the month, receives gifts for Board Appreciation Month

The Breckenridge ISD School Board met for their regular meeting Monday, Jan. 14 and conducted their normal business, including student of the month, collection reports and staff appreciation. They also extended BISD Superintendent Tim Seymore’s contract through 2021 and received presentations from each of the schools in honor of School Board Appreciation Month.

School Board announces students of the month, receives comments from parents on bullying and harassment concerns

The Breckenridge ISD school board met Monday night and announced students of the month. They also received comments from the public regarding potential harassment and bullying in classrooms across the district. This included hearing an appeal case from a parent who had previously appeared in front of the board.

Some normal business on the night included a tax collection report and a report on the bilingual program within the district. The board also passed a contract for repairs to wall joints and building envelopes due to water leakage.

The Breckenridge ISD school board met Monday, Oct. 15 and announced the students of the month for October. They also approved $37,000 worth of improvements to the Ag farm and received a presentation from students in the Gifted and Talented Program. To close up, they recieved comment from a parent in the district.

School board meets in special session, approves purchase of three buses

Breckenridge ISD met in a special session Tuesday to deliberate on one item, which was the purchase of three buses. The total comes out to $204,000. Two of the busses will be used for school purposes, such as busing kids to and from school. The other will be used for extracurricular activities.
