BJHS girls play first BB games

Breckenridge basketball coach Brittney Goehring reported the results of the 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B Girl’s first basketball games of the season against the girls from Bowie. It was a rough start for three of the teams and a victory for the other.

The BJHS girls got off to a rough start with the 7A girls losing 12-30.

Coach Reatherford said, “The girls played hard in their first outing. Her Player of the Game was Melody Hernandez, who scored 6 points.”

The 7B girl’s team also lost their first game, 3-22 and the 8A girls lost their first game 4-29.

The 8B girls were the only team to win in a close one, 15-13, with Destiny Jamison scoring 13 points.

Coach Reatherford said, “They fought hard for the win.”
