BJHS host orientation for students; welcomes sixth graders to the campus
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Breckenridge Junior High School welcomed students back for orientation on Thursday, July 30.
The orientation invited sixth graders to the campus for the first time since the closing of North Elementary adjusted the grades of BISD students.
The purpose of the orientation was to test students before the start of the upcoming school year to gauge students’ readiness for the school year.
Students were greeted by the Breckenridge High cheerleaders and band, as the two groups played and cheered to the junior high students.
Under the leadership of Greg Odom and James Wilhite, the BHS band will allow sixth-grade students to participate in the band for the 2020-2021 school year.
The BHS cheerleaders will be led by Kaitlan Price for the 2020-2021 school year and cheerleaders provided new junior high students with a tour of the BJHS campus.
