In the final game of their high school career, the Breckenridge Buckaroos baseball team sweep the Aledo Bearcats in an exhibition series. With the help of alumni and parents, the games were the first since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Buckaroos hosted the event at the D.D. Woodard Stadium and Dee Escalon Field. Starting pitcher Justin Bell had a shutout performance against the Aledo Bearcats in the first of a two-game exhibition series. The pitcher gave up zero runs on five scoreless innings. The Breckenridge Buckaroos senior baseball team put on home jerseys for one final time as the team hosted and swept an exhibition doubleheader against the 5A #12 ranked Aledo Bearcats and won a friendly home run derby.
Winning 4-0 in the first game of the doubleheader and 7-5 in the second matchup, Buckaroos seniors were able to end their final game on a positive note on Thursday, June 4 at the D.D. Woodard Stadium and Dee Escalon Field.
