In a defensive battle against the No. 1 ranked Brock Eagles, the Breckenridge Buckaroo varsity baseball team came up one run short in a 2-1 loss in a home game, which also was their first district game of the season.

Justin Bell (9) started out the game at pitcher for the Bucks. Jake Escalon (15) was the catcher and remained there for the entirety of the game. The first three innings had each team pitching a shutout. Brock secured a single in both the first and second innings, while Bell walked one batter in the first. Breckenridge offensively did not get a hit in the first three innings, but Kooper Shook was hit by a pitch in the first and got on base.
