Bucks collect big win over Nocona, 21-1

The Bucks traveled to Nocona and took on the Indians on their home field, but after only four innings of play, the Bucks won (21-1). The third inning was the clincher with the Bucks collecting nine runs after already adding five in the first and six in the second and one more in the fourth.

Evan Moore led the Bucks with three hits, which included a double and a triple and drove in three RBIs. He also was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts from the mound.

Jonas Arellano and Kaden Garcia also had three hits each and both had doubles and Garcia drove in four RBIs. Ayden Reyes had a couple of singles and drove in four RBIs.

The Bucks hit hard and often in their big win and go to 5-1 at the top of District 7.

In the third inning, Christian Arellano led off with a walk. Moore hit a line drive to left field and C. Arellano advanced to second. Next, Jonas Arellano singled on a ground ball to left field which moved the runners to fill the bases. Unfortunately, C. Arellano was declared out at third and lost on appeal. Ayden Reyes grounded out to third base, but on the throw to first for the out, Moore scored and J. Arellano moved to third. Camden Escalon hit to left field and J. Arellano scored. Next up was Anson Rodgers who hit a grounder to left field and was safe at first. Next, Flavio Davila hits a hard grounder to left field and the runners advance and once more the bases are loaded with green.

Ayden Reyes singled on a ground ball to the shortstop and Escalon and Rodgers both score. Kaden Garcia is hit by a pitch and Davila scores on a passed ball and

Reyes advanced to second on the same passed ball. C. Arellano singled on a hard-hit grounder to left field and Reyes scored. Moore doubled on a line drive to left field and Garcia and C. Arellano scored. Next, J. Arellano doubles on a fly ball to left field and Moore scored for the second time that inning. A Reyes struck out swinging and the third inning ended with nine runs scored.

The Bucks will host Holliday on Friday, April 9. Holliday is in second place in District 7-3A, behind the Bucks. So, it should be a fun game to watch.
