Bucks fall to Hawks, close season at bi-district

A best-of-three bi-district series concluded the season for the Bucks against the Iowa Park Hawks.

Inclement weather conditions moved Game 1 of the series up a day to Wednesday, April 29 and moved the location to the Bowie High School baseball field. 

After the Hawks got on the board in the first inning of Game 1, the situation did not get any better for the Buckaroos. The Hawks scored four runs in the first, one in the second and third, two in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Cam David and Marky Perez each got a hit for the Buckaroos, but the Hawks held strong and the Bucks could not make the board, with the game ending 10-0.

Game 2 took place Thursday, April 30 at the Graham High School baseball field and things looked better for the Bucks as they held the Hawks to two runs until the bottom of the fourth and fifth when the Hawks put another three on the board to bring the final score to 8-0.  Cooper Wimberley led the Bucks in Game 2 with one hit in two at bats.
