The Breckenridge Lady Bucks concluded their season with a tough loss to the Peaster Lady Greyhounds, falling in straight sets. They finished the season with an overall record of 4-25 and a district record of 3-11.

Peaster dominated the opening set 25-6, with the Lady Bucks getting kills from Kamden Tidwell and the only other points coming on unforced errors.

In the second set, the Lady Greyhounds jumped out to an 8-0 lead before Lane Bartoskewitz got the Lady Bucks on the board with a kill. Despite blocks from Preslie Malcuit and Paisley Thibodeaux, Peaster maintained control and closed out the set 25-11.

The third set was the most competitive, with the Lady Bucks briefly taking a 6-4 lead. The teams traded points up to a 9-9 tie, but Peaster pulled away with a strong run, eventually sealing the match with a 25-12 win.

Though the Lady Bucks showed flashes of resilience as they have all season, Peaster’s consistency and pressure proved too much to overcome.

Prior to the match, Bartoskewitz and Malcuit were each honored for their career totals; Malcuit for 250 career kills and Bartoskewitz for 400 kills and 450 digs.
